Impact Capital Forum is pleased to host this showcase with three New York based social entrepreneurs. We are committed to promoting new business initiatives with a positive impact through our Social Enterprise Spotlight Series. This night features the founders of Rescuing Leftover Cuisine, Keap candles and Ox Verte. Come engage and learn the path forward for these scalable, social enterprises. During our panel discussion, we will focus on the key areas of opportunities and challenges on their path to growth, their relationships with private and public investors, and the support needed from their communities.
Our social entrepreneurs include:
Robert Lee, Co-Founder & CEO of Rescuing Leftover Cuisine. Rescuing Leftover Cuisine was founded in 2013. It targets a niche gap that is not being served by the larger existing organizations who have a minimum food donation requirement of 150 lbs. They use technology to facilitate the handling of excess food, and localize issues into sets of communities that can help sustain themselves.
Harry Doull, Founder of Keap. Keap is a B Corp certified candle company offering its products via a monthly subscription. The candles offer unique, proprietary scents developed by the world's foremost independent master perfumer, Christophe Laudamiel and delivers them with a emphasis on regenerative agriculture and circular consumption. By using regenerative agriculture techniques, Keap’s wax supplier has created a palm wax as a by-product of an oil refining process, and in turn, Keap has found a way to turn that into an excellent candle. On the circularity side, Keap's long-term vision is to be a zero-waste company and to inspire individuals and other companies to do the same.
Jessie Gould, Founder & CEO of Ox Verte. Ox Verte is a plant-forward food company working to reinvent office meals. Ox Verte wants to makes seasonally-fresh, locally-sourced food an everyday occurrence. The Company was founded in Feb. 2015 and serves groups sizes 10-1000 in Manhattan. Ox Verte is also a Certified B Corporation, a leader in the global movement to use business as a force for good.
